Deputy Commanding Officer

    The Deputy Commanding Officer serves as administrative assistant to the Commissioner of Police with authority to act on his behalf.  Under supervision of the Commissioner of Police, duties require the exercise of considerable judgment in planning, organizing and directing the activities of all personnel within the Police Department.  The Deputy Commanding Officer will assume responsibility for command of the Department in the absence of the Commissioner of Police.
